Conversations across time

I miss conversations with my parents, grandparents and other family and friends from prior generations. Many times I imagine what my two grandfathers, in particular, would say about current events.

This blog began as a way to tell some stories and to share with the next generation some of my thoughts about the tumultuous events of our time. I hoped it would add to our already rich cross-generational conversation.

I’m grateful for our engagement, comments, conversations and shared hyperlinks. I want to more fully understand the hopes and fears of others, especially the next generation. For me, this experience is a window into the new world that is emerging. We learn from each other.

My Dad was born on May 16, 1923. The photo below was taken when my parents were in their early 20s, along with my cousin Ed, who provided “The Roosevelt” blog post on May 6, 2020.
